Saudia Private partners with RCU for aviation services at AlUla
Riyadh – Saudia Private, a subsidiary of the Saudia Group, has inked a memorandum of understanding with the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) during the Future Investment Initiative (FII) 2023. This strategic pact aims to provide an extensive array of private aviation services at Prince Abdul Majeed bin Abdulaziz International Airport.
The agreement was formally signed by Dr. Fahad Al Jarboa, the CEO of Saudi Private Aviation, and Eng. Sultan AlKhuraissi, Chief Operations Officer of RCU. In response to the growing number of annual visitors to AlUla, the memorandum outlines a comprehensive suite of services, including aircraft leasing and management, maintenance, and cleaning.
Additionally, these services encompass vital ground operations such as securing take-off and landing permits, ground handling, catering logistics, and more. Furthermore, the agreement involves the operation of the private aviation lounge at the airport, catering to a diverse clientele that includes local and international VIPs, individuals, companies, and aircraft operators.
On March 4, 2021, the General Authority of Civil Aviation officially designated the airport in Al Ula as an international airport in Saudi Arabia, having met all operational prerequisites and international standards. This move was aligned with the requirements of entities engaged in airport operations.
Dr. Fahad Al Jarboa emphasized the paramount importance of this memorandum of understanding with the Royal Commission for AlUla. He underscored AlUla as a distinctive historical and cultural landmark within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, contributing to the realization of the Vision 2030 goals. He further expressed Saudia Private's unwavering commitment to providing top-tier services based on its extensive experience in the field, as well as its new strategy aimed at identifying premium industry solutions to elevate the overall travel experience.
