Tokyo, October 05, 2023, According to The Associated Press, Thursday's trading in Asia was mixed. The benchmark Nikkei 225 index for Japan increased 1.8% to close at 31,075.36. The S&P/ASX 200 in Sydney increased 0.5% to 6,925.50, while the Kospi in South Korea barely changed, declining less than 0.1% to 2,405.10. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index increased 0.4% to 17,261.20. Benchmark U.S. crude increased by 30 cents to $84.52 a barrel in the energy market. The benchmark, Brent crude, increased by 37 cents to $86.18.
