Damascus hosted the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between the Syrian Ministry of Energy and Saudi technology company CASHIN to develop and operate a national digital platform for petroleum derivatives.
According to SPA, the agreement was signed under the supervision of the Saudi Ministry of Energy and the patronage of Syrian Minister of Energy Eng. Mohammed Al-Bashir. The Saudi delegation included Eng. Fuad Mosa, Advisor to the Minister of Energy and General Supervisor of the International Projects Office, and Eng. Mohammed Al-Hamidi, General Manager at the ministry’s Oil and Gas Sector.
The platform utilizes a Field to Bank approach to integrate operational and financial processes across the petroleum derivatives value chain. It connects production, transportation, storage, distribution, fuel stations, and financial settlement through a unified system to improve operational efficiency, governance, and transparency.
CASHIN will develop and operate the technology solutions in coordination with the Syrian ministry, applying its experience in digital systems. This cooperation serves as a model for the regional expansion of Saudi technologies and the transfer of automation and AI-based solutions to new markets.
