According to SPA, the Kingdom is represented by four high school students. These participants were trained under the supervision of the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) in partnership with the Ministry of Education.
This is the eighth time Saudi Arabia has participated in the Olympiad. In seven previous appearances, Saudi students earned 11 international awards, consisting of seven bronze medals and four certificates of merit.
Launched in 1989, the IOI is a global computer science competition for high school students that focuses on programming, algorithm design, and problem analysis.
