The Grand Mosque in Makkah hosted a Friday sermon delivered by Sheikh Dr. Saleh bin Abdullah bin Humaid, who urged Muslims to maintain piety toward Allah.
According to SPA, the preacher warned against relying on astrologers, fortune tellers, and horoscopes, citing a prophetic tradition stating that whoever believes a soothsayer has disbelieved in what was revealed to Muhammad.
Sheikh bin Humaid explained that the interpretation of dreams is a legitimate religious science with specific controls, describing it as a fatwa that should not be performed without knowledge. He categorized dreams into three types, noting that righteous dreams are from Allah and constitute one of forty-six parts of prophecy.
The sermon detailed that believers should praise Allah and share positive dreams with loved ones or people of knowledge and virtue. Conversely, dreams from Satan should be met by seeking refuge in Allah three times, spitting to the left three times, praying, and changing sleeping positions without informing others.
