Saudi Red Crescent saves Nigerian Umrah pilgrim in Madinah

The courtyards of the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah were the site of a life-saving operation where a 40-year-old Nigerian Umrah pilgrim was rescued after suffering cardiac and respiratory arrest.

According to SPA, Saudi Red Crescent Authority rescue teams in the Madinah region responded to the emergency last Thursday evening, reaching the patient within 32 seconds.

Dr. Omar bin Hussein Al-Attas, Acting Director General of the organization’s branch in the Madinah region, stated that the success reflects the high readiness and coordination between the medical dispatch center and rescue teams, as well as the training and efficiency of the staff. He urged the public to cooperate and report emergencies quickly to help save lives.
