Saudi Red Crescent saves Nigerian Umrah performer in Madinah

Madinah witnessed the rescue of a 40-year-old Nigerian Umrah performer who suffered a cardiac and respiratory arrest in the courtyards of the Prophet’s Mosque.

According to SPA, Saudi Red Crescent teams in the Madinah region responded to the emergency on Thursday evening, reaching the patient within 32 seconds.

Dr. Omar bin Hussein Al-Attas, acting director general of the organization’s branch in Madinah, stated that the success reflects the coordination between the medical dispatch center and rescue teams, as well as the training of the staff. He urged the public to report emergencies quickly to assist in saving lives.
