Riyadh was the site of a telephone conversation between Saudi Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed ElKhereiji and the British Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan, Stephen Doughty, on August 13, 2026.
According to SPA, ElKhereiji began the call by congratulating the British Minister of State on his appointment and wishing him success in his new role.
The two officials discussed bilateral relations and topics of common interest.
