Albir Charity in Makkah pioneers Grand Mosque-view dialysis unit, a first

Makkah, April 09, 2024, The Albir Charity in Makkah (Birrukum) has achieved a significant milestone in the non-profit sector by introducing a dialysis unit that offers patients a mesmerizing view of the Grand Mosque, a first-of-its-kind initiative.

This groundbreaking unit, inaugurated by Advisor to the Royal Court and Member of the Council of Senior Scholars Sheikh Dr. Saad Al-Shithri, reflects the Kingdom's Vision 2030 commitment to enhancing citizens' quality of life. It also complements the Pilgrim Experience Program, enhancing the overall experience for visitors to the Grand Mosque.

Situated within the King Abdulaziz Endowment Clock Towers, the unit provides a comprehensive healthcare service while offering a unique perspective of the Grand Mosque. The partnership between Albir Charity and the Clock Towers aims to expand the range of services available to those visiting the Grand Mosque.

The newly launched unit is designed to cater to patients with kidney issues, enabling them to undergo dialysis comfortably while enjoying a well-equipped facility with a panoramic view of the Kaaba. This innovative approach ensures that patients can fulfill their religious obligations while receiving necessary medical treatment.

Albir Charity already offers dialysis services at its Al-Shoqiyah headquarters, boasting 42 beds and conducting 82 dialysis sessions daily. With the addition of this new unit, the charity's capacity is significantly enhanced, providing a unique and enriching experience for patients visiting the Grand Mosque.
