Arab Badminton Championship starts in Riyadh, igniting shuttle sports competitions

Riyadh, January 29, 2024, The much-anticipated Arab Badminton Championship commenced today at the Ministry of Sports Hall in Riyadh, marking the beginning of spirited competitions in the realm of shuttle sports. Organized by the Saudi Badminton Federation, this prestigious championship is scheduled to unfold its excitement from January 29 to February 2, drawing the participation of 100 skilled players hailing from 15 Arab teams.

The tournament encompasses a diverse range of categories, including men's and women's singles and doubles, youth singles and doubles, and mixed doubles for both youth and adults. The competition promises to showcase the prowess and agility of the participating athletes across various age groups.

To kick off the event in grandeur, the opening ceremony held on the first day was graced by the presence of key figures in the badminton community. Dr. Sawsan Taqawi, the President of the Arab Badminton Federation, and Muqrin Al-Muqrin, the President of the Saudi Badminton Federation, were among the distinguished attendees. Additionally, leaders from participating federations and delegations added to the celebratory atmosphere of the occasion.
