Aramco creates new EVP roles in upstream and downstream areas

In its upstream and downstream operating areas, Aramco has established new Business Line Executive Vice President ("EVP") roles.

These positions were established in response to the Upstream President and Downstream President posts, which were established in July to support the company's worldwide portfolio and long-term strategy across its value chain.

As a result, starting on September 1, 2023, the Board of Directors approved the following four new Business Line EVP appointments:

Upstream: Abdulkarim A. Al Ghamdi has been named Business Line Executive Vice President of Gas, while Abdul Hameed A. Al Dughaither has been named Business Line Executive Vice President of Exploration, Petroleum Engineering, and Drilling. The Upstream President is the boss of both jobs. Yasser M. Mufti has been named Business Line Executive Vice President of Products and Customers, and Ibrahim Q. Al Buainain has been named Business Line Executive Vice President of Global Manufacturing. The downstream president is superior for both posts.
