China launches Einstein Probe to observe universe's mysterious transient phenomena

Xichan, January 09, 2024, China launched the Einstein Probe (EP), a new astronomical satellite, into space to observe mysterious transient phenomena in the universe that exhibit a flickering resemblance to fireworks. The satellite was launched by a Long March-2C carrier rocket at 3:03 pm (Beijing time) from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China's Sichuan Province. The Einstein Probe aims to contribute to the understanding of transient astronomical events and phenomena, providing valuable insights into the dynamic and evolving nature of the universe.
