Ensures access to sacred Zamzam water for worshippers and visitors

Madinah, February 11, 2024, The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque is dedicated to ensuring that worshippers and visitors at the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah have access to Zamzam water, a sacred and blessed resource. Through meticulous oversight, the authority manages the transportation of Zamzam water from its source in Makkah to the Prophet's Mosque using specialized tankers capable of carrying up to 20 tons of water each.

Upon arrival in Madinah, the authority's monitoring teams oversee the unloading process and promptly dispatch water samples to the laboratory for rigorous testing to guarantee its safety. Once the water quality is confirmed, the tankers are authorized to discharge their contents at designated locations within the mosque premises.

To further facilitate access, the authority ensures the distribution of 10,000 Zamzam water bottles daily within the revered Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifa area, while also providing an additional 10,000 Zamzam water vessels inside the mosque itself. This commitment to meticulous oversight and provision reflects the authority's dedication to facilitating the spiritual experience of worshippers and visitors at one of Islam's holiest sites.
