General Presidency of the Holy Mosques spreads religious message worldwide
Makkah, November 06, 2023, The General Presidency of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque has embarked on a global outreach mission to convey the religious message of the two Holy Mosques worldwide. This initiative involves an extensive translation and language program encompassing fifty languages, with the aim of sharing the success stories of these sacred places in various global languages. This strategic endeavor aligns with the long-term goals of the Presidency to promote the religious message of the two Holy Mosques on a global scale.
Dr. Abdulrahman Abdulaziz bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, President of Religious Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, stressed the pivotal role of translation in disseminating the authentic teachings of the Islamic faith, its moderate principles, values, and humanitarian aspects across the globe. He emphasized that translation also plays a crucial part in communicating the religious message of the two Holy Mosques and in educating, raising awareness, and enhancing the religious experiences of pilgrims and visitors in their respective languages.
Dr. Al-Sudais further directed officials to harness modern technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) to establish a comprehensive religious translation system that operates year-round, 24/7. This system will cater to the religious, educational, and guidance needs of pilgrims from diverse linguistic, cultural, and national backgrounds, ensuring the global dissemination of the religious message of the two Holy Mosques.
This endeavor is in line with Saudi Vision 2030's objective to accommodate and serve the millions of Umrah performers, pilgrims, and visitors, utilizing the profound Islamic significance of the two Holy Mosques to address the spiritual needs of Muslims and humanity from a religious standpoint. Dr. Al-Sudais also highlighted the unwavering commitment of the leadership to serving Islam and Muslims, as well as to ensuring the well-being and spiritual enrichment of pilgrims in a secure and peaceful environment.
