Riyadh, April 15, 2024, As the FEI Jumping and Dressage World Cup Finals 2024 draw near, riders from across the globe, including the top six show jumpers according to world rankings, have kicked off their training sessions on Monday.

This initial training phase sets the stage for the highly anticipated championship, slated to kick off at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center (RICEC) in just two days. The action is set to unfold starting Wednesday and will span four days within an indoor arena, marking a historic first for the Middle East as host of such a prestigious competition.

A total of 51 equestrians, comprising both male and female riders from 24 nations, are set to demonstrate their exceptional skills in the championship, promising a showcase of talent and fierce competition.

On another front, the championship's organizing committee has successfully completed thorough veterinary examinations for all 60 participating horses at the competition venue. These examinations included comprehensive assessments covering essential factors such as physical health, medical conditions, and compliance with show jumping and dressage horse standards.

Using specialized equipment to gauge hoof sensitivity, the examinations also ensured that the horses were up-to-date with necessary vaccinations and had valid passports. Following these meticulous examinations, riders were given the green light to commence their warm-up routines, allowing them to familiarize themselves with the arena and optimize their performance for the upcoming challenges.
