Holy Kaaba maintenance initiated, led by Ministry of Finance's Project Management.

Riyadh, December 09, 2023, Commencing today, the periodic maintenance of the Holy Kaaba is underway, overseen by the Ministry of Finance's Project Management Department, in close coordination with various relevant government agencies. This initiative is in line with the continuous efforts and directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and is being closely monitored by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince.

This commitment to the maintenance and enhancement of the Holy Kaaba is part of the ongoing dedication of the government under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman, to preserve the sanctity of the Kaaba and ensure the optimal condition of all its elements.

The Project Management Department of the Ministry of Finance is actively overseeing the progress of these maintenance works, employing a highly skilled group of professionals dedicated to managing the expansion projects under the purview of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. Since its establishment in 1438 AH, this department has played a crucial role in supervising the expansion projects of the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah.

Notably, the Project Management Department has previously overseen periodic maintenance work on the Holy Kaaba, with previous instances occurring in Shawwal 1440 AH and Dhul-Hijjah 1442 AH. This ongoing commitment to maintenance activities underscores the dedication of the Saudi government to ensuring the utmost care and preservation of the Holy Kaaba, a focal point for Muslims around the world.
