Jeddah authorities arrest Yemeni resident selling 122,200 narcotic tablets; legal actions underway

Jeddah, January 13, 2024, The General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC) in Jeddah governorate has arrested a Yemeni resident for attempting to sell 122,200 narcotic tablets. The individual was apprehended, and legal measures have been initiated against him. He has been referred to the Public Prosecution.

Security authorities encourage the public to report any information related to drug smuggling or sales by calling emergency numbers: 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern regions, and 999 in the rest of the Kingdom's regions. They can also contact the General Directorate of Narcotics Control at 995 or through email: [email protected]. All reports will be treated with strict confidentiality.
