KSrelief, Ministry of Foreign Affairs host workshop on Gaza relief efforts

Riyadh, January 24, 2024, The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Kingdom’s embassy in Jordan, recently organized a workshop focused on relief efforts and the extensive humanitarian assistance provided by the center to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. The workshop, held at KSrelief's headquarters in Riyadh, saw the participation of key figures, including Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of KSrelief Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah, the Kingdom’s Ambassador to Jordan and Non-resident Ambassador to the Palestinian Authority Nayef bin Bandar Al-Sudairi, and other KSrelief officials.

Dr. Al Rabeeah, welcoming the workshop participants, highlighted KSrelief's ability to surmount challenges in delivering emergency relief and humanitarian aid to the affected population in Gaza. He credited this success to the generous directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and the unwavering support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Expressing optimism about the workshop's outcomes, Dr. Al Rabeeah anticipated that the event would shed light on KSrelief’s accomplishments, address notable challenges, and bolster the Kingdom's international humanitarian standing.

Ambassador Al-Sudairi, in turn, expressed gratitude to KSrelief administrators for organizing the workshop, highlighting the center's global recognition as a significant element of Saudi diplomacy. He praised KSrelief’s active roles and distinguished performance in crisis-hit countries such as Yemen, Ukraine, Syria, Turkey, and others. The ambassador also acknowledged the center's relief aid to the people in Gaza, emphasizing the consistent commitment of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH Crown Prince to humanitarian assistance.

During the workshop, a visual presentation provided an overview of the humanitarian needs in the Gaza Strip, covering food, shelter, and medical programs implemented by KSrelief. The session also delved into the legal requirements and procedures associated with the center’s initiatives in Gaza, as well as the meticulous process of selecting and approving international partners through the organization’s registration portal.
