KSrelief's Masam Project clears 784 mines in Yemen

Aden, February 12, 2024, In the initial week of February 2024, the Masam Project spearheaded by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) in Yemen achieved a significant milestone by successfully neutralizing 784 mines scattered across various regions. Among these were 3 anti-personnel mines, 129 anti-tank mines, 623 unexploded ordnance, and 29 explosive devices.

Since its inception, the project has made remarkable progress, with a total of 431,838 mines cleared to date. This dedicated effort underscores the unwavering commitment of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, to rid Yemeni territories of these deadly remnants of conflict, which have tragically claimed the lives of innocent civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, while causing severe injuries.
