Magnitude 5.1 earthquake shakes area north of Hihifo, Tonga, reported USGS

Beijing, January 31, 2024, On Wednesday, a seismic event of magnitude 5.1 rattled an area situated 106 km north of Hihifo, Tonga, according to the US Geological Survey, as reported by Xinhua. The earthquake's epicenter was initially identified at a depth of 10 km, precisely located at 15.00 degrees south latitude and 173.63 degrees west longitude.
