Tashkent is hosting a Saudi student team for the 38th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2026), taking place from August 9 to 16. The competition includes students from 100 countries.
According to SPA, the Saudi team consists of four high school students. Two students are from Riyadh province, one is from Jubail, and one is from Jeddah.
The participants received training under the guidance of the King Abdulaziz and his Partners Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba). This marks the eighth time Saudi Arabia has participated in the IOI.
Previous participations have resulted in 11 awards, which include seven bronze medals and four certificates of appreciation.
