Grand Mosque Imam warns against soothsayers

Makkah is where Imam Sheikh Saleh bin Humaid delivered a Friday sermon at the Grand Mosque regarding dream interpretation and the dangers of astrologers.

According to SPA, the Imam warned against turning to soothsayers and astrologers. He stated that while a true dream, known as ru’ya, brings glad tidings, it cannot be used as a basis for religious rulings.

Sheikh Saleh bin Humaid categorized dreams into three types: true visions from Allah, daily reflections, and troubling dreams from Satan. He noted that troubling dreams should remain private. He further emphasized that dream interpretation must not be approached carelessly and requires sound religious knowledge.
