Several regions of Saudi Arabia are expected to experience thunderstorms of varying intensity from Saturday, September 5, through Wednesday, September 9.
The National Center for Meteorology (NCM), as reported by SPA, stated that conditions will range from light rain with dust-stirring downdrafts reaching 50 km/h to heavy rainfall exceeding 50 millimeters per hour.
The NCM warned that moderate to heavy thunderstorms may cause hail, flash floods, high waves along the coast, and strong wind gusts exceeding 60 km/h. Initial forecasts indicate that rainfall may continue into late next week.
The public is urged to follow safety instructions from relevant authorities and monitor updates via official platforms, including the Anwaa early-warning application.
