Financial incentives of up to SAR500,000 are available for micro, small, and medium-sized businesses (MSMEs) to adopt or develop AI technologies within the cultural sector. This is part of the “AI Incentives for Cultural Projects” launched by the Cultural Development Fund (CDF).
According to SPA, the initiative is a partnership with the Ministry of Culture and the Quality of Life Program, a Saudi Vision 2030 vision realization program, in collaboration with the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA). It represents the first track under “Nama’ Incentives,” which supports cultural projects in priority areas to increase economic and social impact and long-term sustainability.
The track targets several key areas, including creativity and production, heritage and asset preservation, content and knowledge development, cultural experiences and engagement, cultural project management and operations, and governance and intellectual property. These focus areas aim to advance digital transformation and accelerate AI-driven solutions across the cultural value chain.
The launch coincides with the Year of AI and follows a trilateral agreement between the Ministry of Culture, CDF, and SDAIA to enhance operational efficiency, competitiveness, and the development of cultural products and services.
