King Abdulaziz International Competition hosts 334 contestants from 133 countries

Makkah is hosting 334 contestants from 133 countries for the 46th King Abdulaziz International Competition for the Memorization, Recitation, and Interpretation of the Holy Quran. The participants include 202 male and 132 female contestants.

According to SPA, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance is organizing the event. This session marks the first time females are participating in the competition, expanding its international presence to include female memorizers of the Book of Allah.

Boys’ competitions are taking place within the Grand Mosque, while female competitions are held at the Hilton Convention Hotel. The event utilizes technical solutions, including mobile robots with interactive screens that provide information and answer inquiries in more than 90 global languages, alongside artificial intelligence for organizational services.

Total prize values for the current session have risen to 10,260,000 riyals, distributed among 50 winners, with five winners in each branch of the competition. An exhibition at the Hilton Convention Hotel showcases the competition’s history and development stages.
