A value of 40 million riyals has been allocated for sustainable forest management project contracts signed between the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC) and the Morooj non-profit foundation.
According to SPA, the signing was sponsored by the Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Mansour Al-Mushaiti. This represents the first national project of its kind designed to strengthen forest sustainability and preserve environmental, economic, and social values.
The NCVC aims to build an integrated national ecosystem for the protection and development of forests using modern technologies and scientific methodologies to improve planning and decision-making regarding forest rehabilitation.
