Makkah hosted the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Awad Al-Anazi, and the Chairman of the Philippine National Commission for Muslim Affairs, Sabdin Abdul Rahim.
According to SPA, the agreement aims to strengthen cooperation in Islamic affairs, promote the introduction and dissemination of Islam, and clarify the religion’s position on contemporary issues.
The MoU includes efforts to improve the cultural literacy of Muslim communities and the exchange of research, books, and academic publications in various languages. Additionally, the two parties will coordinate visits by the Imams of the Two Holy Mosques to the Philippines.
The cooperation further extends to organizing academic conferences and training workshops designed to enhance the capabilities of preachers, speakers, Imams, and Muezzins in the Philippines.
