According to SPA, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) deployed 16 volunteers from various medical specialties for the campaign. The medical team examined 53 patients, performing 25 open-heart surgeries and two cardiac catheterization procedures.
Diagnostic efforts included 58 electrocardiograms (ECGs) and CT scans for two beneficiaries, while the team reviewed and interpreted 30 CT scans. Additionally, 200 individuals, including medical students and local medical personnel, received knowledge transfer in more than four specialties, such as cardiology, nursing, intensive care, and respiratory therapy.
The project is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian and relief initiatives implemented through KSrelief to assist individuals with heart conditions in friendly countries and support the medical sector.
