The United Kingdom hosted 280 young girls and women who discovered and practiced golf through community programs accompanying the PIF London 2026 tournament. The event took place from August 6 to 9 at the Centurion Club course in Hertfordshire.
According to SPA, Golf Saudi partnered with the Muslim Golf Association (MGA) for the initiative. On the first day, 100 participants joined the Go Golf program to learn basics and swings while speaking with Ladies European Tour specialists, doctors, and coaches about sports opportunities. Some of these participants had previously attended beginner training organized by the MGA last summer at the Iqra academy in Peterborough.
The second day involved 180 women from various British cities who took part in course visits and practical activities. They learned about the Race to Makkah tournament organized by the MGA for the global Muslim golf community. These women were invited to the world final at the Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in King Abdullah Economic City for an experience for women and families combining competition and Omra.
The joint efforts of Golf Saudi and the MGA aim to expand golf practice from UK initiation programs to international events in Saudi Arabia to attract a new generation.
