Southwest of Tayma governorate in the Tabuk region stands the Al-Nasla rock, also known as the twin rock. This geological formation consists of two adjacent rocks separated by a distance that appears as a straight line.
According to SPA, the site is named Al-Nasla because it separated from the nearby mountains. The formation reaches approximately 8 meters in length and rests on two bases that support the separate rocks.
The Heritage Commission stated that the rock is located within a geographical area known for diverse cultural evidence and rock inscriptions. These carvings confirm the historical status of the Tabuk region and Tayma governorate as important stops on ancient trade routes in the northwest of the Arabian Peninsula.
The site is recognized as one of the most prominent natural geological witnesses in the Kingdom, featuring various rock drawings and inscriptions on its facade that reflect natural transformations over time.
