King Abdullah Economic City has signed a contract worth 263.5 million Saudi riyals to develop a new destination combining equestrian heritage, tourism, and modern lifestyle.
According to SPA, the project, named Sahil, will involve investments exceeding 2 billion US dollars, creating investment opportunities for domestic and international investors.
The development will cover approximately 2 million square meters and include infrastructure for equestrian sports such as stables, horse care and training facilities, a riding academy, and veterinary services. The site will also feature a polo resort, equestrian arenas, and riding trails.
Residential units, retail areas, restaurants, cafes, and facilities for entertainment, health, and leisure are included in the plan. The architectural design is inspired by coastal Hejazi architecture and will follow the Saudi Building Code.
Approximately 40% of the area will be dedicated to gardens, walking paths, event spaces, and areas overlooking the waterfront.
