Riyadh is the site of the launch of AI incentives for cultural projects by the Cultural Fund. According to SPA, this is the first track of the Namaa incentives, which aims to support cultural projects in qualitative fields that align with national targets. The track supports micro, small, and medium enterprises wanting to adopt or develop artificial intelligence technologies within their projects across various cultural sectors.
Eligible projects can receive financial incentives of up to 500,000 riyals to enable the development and adoption of innovative AI-based solutions. The track focuses on six main areas: creativity and production, preservation of heritage and assets, enrichment of content and knowledge, enhancing cultural experiences and participation, management and operation of cultural projects, and governance and intellectual property.
The launch coincides with the Year of Artificial Intelligence and extends a tripartite agreement between the Ministry of Culture, the Cultural Fund, and SDAIA. This agreement aims to enable the adoption of advanced technologies in the cultural sector, support innovation, and increase operational efficiency and competitiveness.
Majed bin Abdulmohsen Al-Hogail, CEO of the Cultural Fund, stated that the incentives reflect a strategic direction to enable the cultural sector to benefit from advanced technologies as a driver for innovation and growth to enhance the creative economy in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
