Five falcons were sold for a total of 223,000 riyals during the fifth night of the 2026 International Falcon Breeding Farms Auction.
According to SPA, the auction is organized by the National Falcon Center at its headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh, with the participation of leading falcon breeding farms from around the world. The event continues until August 25.
The night began with a pure Gyr falcon chick from a farm in Slovenia, which sold for 61,000 riyals after starting at 50,000 riyals. A Gyr-Peregrine chick from Spain followed, selling for 40,000 riyals. A Tri-color Gyr chick from Canada was sold for 42,000 riyals, while another Gyr-Peregrine chick from Spain sold for 30,000 riyals.
The final bird of the evening was a Gyr-Saker chick from a farm in Ireland, which sold for 50,000 riyals. The event provides a platform for the offering of selected falcons from across the globe through direct and competitive bidding.
