International Falcon Farms Auction sells falcon for 1.3 million riyals

A young Gyr falcon of the Matlus Super White variety sold for 1.3 million riyals at the International Falcon Farms Auction 2026. This sale occurred during the seventh evening of the event, marking the most expensive falcon sold this year.

According to SPA, the auction is organized by the National Center for Falcons at its site in Malham, north of Riyadh, with participation from leading falcon farms globally. The Matlus Super White falcon, which became the second most expensive in the history of the auction, saw bidding start at 200,000 riyals before reaching its final price.

Two falcons from a Canadian farm were sold during the same evening for a total of 1.45 million riyals. This included a young purebred Gyr falcon that started at 40,000 riyals and sold for 150,000 riyals.

The event features live bidding for falconers and breeders from Saudi Arabia and other countries, with broadcasts on television and official social media accounts of the National Center for Falcons. The auction remains open to visitors until August 25.
