Five falcons totaling 223,000 riyals were sold during the fifth night of the International Falcon Breeding Farms Auction 2026. The event is held at the National Falcon Center in Mulham, north of Riyadh.
According to SPA, the auction involves leading falcon breeding farms from around the world and continues until August 25. The event has seen attendance from falconers and visitors interested in this heritage.
The night began with a Pure Gyr chick from a farm in Slovenia, which started at 50,000 riyals and sold for 61,000 riyals. A Gyr Peregrine chick from Spain followed, selling for 40,000 riyals. A Tri-color Gyr chick from Canada sold for 42,000 riyals, while another Gyr Peregrine from Spain sold for 30,000 riyals. The final bird of the night was a Gyr Saker chick from Ireland, sold for 50,000 riyals.
The auction uses a direct and competitive bidding process to provide a platform for selected falcons from across the globe.
