Five falcons were sold for a total of 348,000 Saudi riyals during the sixth night of the 2026 International Falcon Breeders Auction platform.
According to SPA, the auction is organized by the Saudi National Falcon Center in northern Riyadh and features renowned falcon breeding centers from around the world. The event continues until August 25, attracting falcon enthusiasts, breeders, and tourists interested in this cultural heritage.
The evening’s sales began with a purebred Gyrfalcon chick from a Slovenian breeding center, which started at 30,000 riyals and sold for 65,000 riyals. A Peregrine falcon chick from a German breeding center followed, selling for 26,000 riyals.
The highest price of the night was achieved by a free chick from a Romanian breeding center, which started at 20,000 riyals and sold for 130,000 riyals. A second Peregrine falcon chick from Germany sold for 27,000 riyals, and the final bird, a Gyrfalcon and Peregrine hybrid from an Irish breeding center, started at 40,000 riyals and sold for 100,000 riyals.
The auction provides a trading platform for high-quality falcons through live competitive bidding. The proceedings are broadcast via television channels and the Saudi National Falcon Center’s social media accounts.
