Al Namas hosts second AI summer program

Al Namas in the Asir region is hosting the second session of a specialized artificial intelligence summer program for students aged 13 to 18. The program is organized by the EVAAZ Academy in partnership with the World Artificial Intelligence Youth Competition (WAICY).

According to SPA, the program integrates specialized training with practical application to prepare students for international AI competitions. Dr. Khalid Al-Ghamdi, CEO of EVAAZ Academy, stated that the program moved to Saudi Arabia from Portugal, which hosted the first session.

The selection of Al Namas follows the achievement of Saudi students who secured first place globally in the 2025 WAICY competitions. The six-week program covers AI principles and the design of innovative projects to solve real-world problems under the supervision of mentors from EVAAZ and WAICY.

The program concludes with the selection of six top teams for a practical camp and final stage in Al Namas for project development, presentation, and evaluation. WAICY has officially registered the Saudi program within its global list of initiatives.
