Jeddah is the location of a new advanced cloud seeding operations briefing room inaugurated at the National Center for Meteorology (NCM) headquarters. The facility was opened on Monday by NCM CEO and General Supervisor of the Regional Cloud Seeding Program Dr. Ayman bin Salem Ghulam.
According to SPA, the room is designed to develop the program’s working environment and strengthen coordination between relevant teams and entities. It aims to improve implementation efficiency, accelerate decision-making, and enhance readiness for cloud seeding operations.
The facility provides a unified platform to display performance indicators and data, review operational plans and weather forecasts, and assess the readiness of systems, teams, and aircraft. It integrates aviation, meteorological operations, ground services, technical teams, and cloud seeding technologies into one shared environment to facilitate the prompt resolution of issues.
The room includes 16 office spaces and has a capacity for up to 60 people across five operational teams. It also serves as a professional environment for training programs, knowledge-sharing sessions, and workshops.
