City St George’s Hospital in the UK is hosting a group of medical students from Umm Al-Qura University for intensive training as part of an international student exchange program.
According to SPA, the program is conducted in collaboration with City St George’s, University of London, and focuses on clinical education and medical curricula. Students are gaining hands-on experience by accompanying medical teams, observing patient assessments, and learning clinical decision-making while participating in multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
The training introduces students to the British healthcare system, research methodologies, and problem-based learning. This allows students to compare healthcare and educational practices between the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia to enhance their professional and clinical skills.
The initiative is part of the university’s academic and research programs to expand international partnerships.
