Saudi Arabia increased the elimination rate of ozone-depleting substances to 69% during the first half of 2026, according to data from the National Center for Environmental Compliance.
SPA reported that the center announced the release of over 8,000 tons of ozone-depleting substances and hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) since the beginning of the year.
This action is part of a project to gradually reduce ozone-depleting substances to ensure that imports and trade comply with international obligations and environmental requirements.
