The National Falcon Center in Malham, north of Riyadh, hosted US Chargé d’Affaires to Saudi Arabia Jennifer Larson for a visit to the 2026 International Falcon Breeding Farms Auction. The event, which features prominent domestic and international farms, continues until August 25.
According to SPA, Larson received briefings on auction programs, participating farms, and the cultural heritage the center aims to preserve. She visited various booths, including the equipment and supplies section and the Future Falconer booth, where she learned about the primary falcon species offered and their care methods.
The visit included observing the programs of the fourth auction night, during which four falcons were offered. The 21-day auction is described as the largest event of its kind globally, gathering top falcon breeds raised in various countries.
The event serves as an annual destination for falconers and breeders, reflecting efforts to preserve the historical heritage of falconry and strengthen its cultural and economic position.
