According to SPA, the Ministry of Tourism announced these measures to ensure facilities are fully prepared before receiving guests. Ministry spokesperson Nasser Al-Ansari stated that the update refines the regulatory and operational framework.
Requirements include verifying operational readiness, meeting safety and maintenance standards, ensuring the continuous supply of basic services, and adhering to operational criteria. The standards classify Hajj accommodation into two categories: economy and first-class, with specific requirements for each.
The criteria cover public facilities, guest rooms, reception, hygiene, maintenance, and guest services. Inspections will occur in multiple stages before and during operation to ensure compliance. The Ministry called on those seeking operating licenses for the 1448 AH season to begin preparations and submit applications early.
