The elimination rate of ozone-depleting substances in Saudi Arabia reached 69% during the first half of 2026.
According to data from the National Center for Environmental Compliance provided to SPA, more than 8,000 tons of ozone-depleting substances and hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) have been released since the beginning of the year.
These actions are part of a project to gradually reduce ozone-depleting substances to ensure that trade and imports comply with international obligations and environmental requirements.
