Jeddah is the site of three royal decrees issued by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on August 13, 2026.
According to SPA, the first decree mandates a reform of the cabinet, which is chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and consists of its current members.
The second decree removes Bandar Khuraif from his position as chairman of the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority board. Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Energy and Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, is appointed as the new chairman.
The third decree removes Mohammed Al-Kawaiz as chairman of the Capital Market Authority board and appoints Mazen Al-Sudairi as the new chairman.
